Ravens have a unique QB and a unique offense. "I think that the advantage of the pistol is that you can go either way. Once the back offsets, youíre limited in the number of plays that you can run to both sides. You have certain plays to the side heís on, and then you have certain plays away from
him," BB said. "You can kind of make some of those work by running him back to the middle, and then back to the same side, but I donít know if itís quite the same. People donít do a lot of it. When heís in the pistol, both sides are the point of attack. So, I think thatís the advantage to it. Obviously, from that position, the back has further to go to get involved in the passing game than he does when heís offset.
"Baltimore does both. They put him behind the quarterback most of the time, in the pistol formation, but heís offset a decent amount of the time, too. Itís not like heís never offset. So, itís kind of the same deal with the run and shoot. I mean, the run and shoot quarterback was under center, but it was the same idea. So, the back could get to either side and attack either side. Wasnít a big part of the passing game in that offense, for the reasons I just articulated. So, Iíd say thatís one of the things they get out of it a lot is that they can attack both sides. They can attack one side just as easily as the other side."
have another speed advantage other than Jackson, they also have Marquise
Brown. "They run their passing game, their RPOís, but certainly when they get a chance to hit him in the deep part of the field in post routes, go routes, inside fades,
yeah," BB said about Brown. "Obviously, people play off of him.
So the underneath routes and hitches, and slants and things like that are hard to cover because people give him space."
So the Pats Defense is going to have to pay special attention to his speed
and Brown are the two guys that can change a Game in a flash. The Pats
secondary has to pay extra attention to those two dudes. When Jackson
takes off he is a guided missile that can out speed most players. While
Brown is a bomb waiting to happen. But can they beat you without the
flash? Can they grind out a victory? The Pats great Defense makes
Offensives have to grind it out, and none have succeeded yet.
have two Tight Ends who can hurt you in the passing game underneath Brown,
and down the Seam. "I think itís kind of across the board. You look at
Hurst, and you look at Andrews, those guys play tight end, but they can
run," McCourty said. "So, you canít go cover receivers in practice and
think, because they donít have the same size as those guys have. So, they have some guys that are different. I think that are kind of special for the position they play, and they can do things that I donít think every team has a guy like that to do it."
That is how they win.
the two flash guys, and the two underneath Tight Ends who can hurt the
defense and beat them up a little. "Honestly, itís dangerous if youíre in man or zone. I mean, thereís times where they have two guys committed to him and he just outruns
them," McCourty said. "Thereís times theyíre in zone and you still have a guy thatís in your zone, so youíve got one guy thatís playing the guy in the zone, so that leaves one guy with eyes on Lamar Jackson to get him down. He makes them miss, and now heís gone.
"So, like I said, no matter what, it comes down to doing your job, and then thereís going to be times in the game where guys are going to have to make tough tackles on him, and weíve got to just do a good job of that. And I think thatís what happens when you play against a really good player. Like, itís not going to be easy. Heís obviously going to make some of his plays, but we have to still make some of our plays in the game if we want to have a chance to win defensively."
But this is a great defense.
threat is real from Jackson, Brown, and the two TEs. They are very good.
But this Defense is great. The Pats D will cause trouble for all four
players, like they have have never seen before. All four of the players
have two years or less experience in the NFL. They are not true veterans
of the NFL wars, and I can guarantee you they have never seen anything
like the Pats Defense.
So the Defense
just has to not let them score on the flash plays. Because all four
players will make some flash plays. Jackson and Brown with speed, and the
two TEs with underneath size and using the space that the other two
create. The Pats defense is just too good and too veteran to lose to those
four young players.

"New Jersey Senator Bob Menendez said it's no coincidence that Russia continues getting foreign policy victories over the Trump administration.
Menendez, the ranking Democrat on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, told ABC News' This Week Sunday that President Donald Trump's troop withdrawal in Syria and accusations he "extorted" Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky left one clear winner: Russia.
He warned that the Kurdish people are under grave threat of "ethnic cleansing" in the wake of Trump's Syria pullout and he proposed sanctions on both Turkey and Russia. The senator said Trump "betrayed" America's Kurd allies and said the administration's purpose becomes clear when one analyzes why the Russians keep "winning."
"[Pulling out of Syria] is a betrayal of our foreign policy to the Russians, who are the big winners in this, and that's part of the problem here," Menendez said Sunday. "All roads lead to Russia with the president. And every time that there is an issue or a conflict, it seems that Russia ends up winning."
